1. don't post on my 'thread' if you are offended or think it's ridiculous. 2. girls are catty ******* and the first thing his cousins will say is i 'copied' her dress.. not true - believe me - if i post the reasons why there is no comparison and how my dress is better then hers on here I will look like a bridezilla and a total snob 3. i dont want to share anything that has to do with my wedding with her. period -the end.
maybe you have a different view for your wedding....?

Is that why you are fuming? And felt the need to make a thread about what she is wearing at her wedding which is almost a year before yours.
No offense but if she wants to make a thread about it why does it bother you? Just don't read/comment on it if you don't agree with it that's all- no big deal.

I'm sorry, but unless FH's cousin already knew what your dress looked like prior to her buying it, I don't think you really have a reason to be pissed off. What if she fell in love with that particular dress just as you fell in love with yours?
Maggie Sottero also isn't exactly an obscure designer, and chances are you two aren't the only ones with very similar dresses. I doubt people who attend both weddings will even notice the dresses look similar or remember what her dress looked like 8 months prior. You also both might wear the dress differently so it won't look the same.
If I sound harsh, I don't intend to. I just don't see a reason to be upset about something that's pretty trivial in the grand scheme of things.
This. A lot of gowns are now lace with a belt and cap sleeves. Unfortunately thats just what happens. My dress is a fuller A-Line (almost ballgown) and has lace and is strapless. Same style as my friend who is getting married 3 months before me. Same style as a friend who got married this past September. Nobody is mad or frustrated with each other.
I think a lot of times we create our OWN wedding drama and I say that because I'm guilty of it as well. A friend of mine got engaged two weeks after me and called me up saying 'I'm getting married in november since you took December' I freaked out because 21 days was NOT enough time in between weddings and I definitely threw a temper tantrum on these boards and in the privacy of my own home. She set a real date about a month and a half before my wedding and while it is really close... I felt better with at least more than a month in between our weddings.
When all is said and done... both you and FH cousin will look beautiful in your wedding dresses and thats that.
If she wants to be catty... let her. She'll do it regardless and there will be nothing for you to do to stop her.

Ugghh that's the worse!! It sucks to have someone that could possibly have similar things as your wedding or have to compete for who's wedding will be better..that shouldn't matter because the person should be happy and not hate on someone else just because..Ultimately it will be different and you will look stunning!! That's what matters!! Don't let anything stress you..this is your day & it will be amazing!! I have 1 close friend that is getting married before us (besides all the other weddings of people we know that we will attend at the end of this year & next year), and we embrace eachothers wedding, and it's such an awesome feeling to have eachothers back..and that's how I feel everyone should be, it sucks that not everyone thinks that way..but you just have to ignore that & focus on what's important..your wedding!!

fuming..
My dress was very similar to my husbands cousins wife's. they were married 4 months before us. It was a total coincidence but I really don't think anyone noticed and/or cared. You're different people, even if it was the exact same dress I'm sure you'll carry it differently and both will look beautiful. Try not to sweat it.
