Fun Day tomorrow

So it's Take your Son/Daughter to Work Day tomorrow and I volunteered to help out in the first part of the day since my boss is bringing his son in for the first time and he would feel more comfortable having someone there with him. I just found out the kiddies are going to be making their own commericals (like coming up with a concept/writing a script/and then filming). It's going to be fun to see what these kids come up with. And then they are going to break for lunch with their parents and then go back up for an Ice Cream Social and viewing the films.

I'm mad because since I'm out Friday I don't think I'll be able to make the Ice Cream/Viewing session so boo to that, but I'm excited to not have to actually work tomorrow morning! LOL

ooo!!! This sounds like so much fun!! I love when people bring their kids to work!!!

That sounds awesome!!! My mom works for an advertising agency so when I went one year when I was younger we got to make commercials too, for candy or something. It was so much fun!! And we got to eat a ton of candy. I'd love to do something like that now!!

My office ***** for take your kids to work day- they make them sit around and watch powerpoint presentations about being a lawyer or something stupid like that! LOL!

lol same here...poor kids, they just hang around and draw on huge paper (engineering company).

Raiding the candy dish at the front desk is like the highlight of the day.

I love when they cubicle hop though, sooo cute!

Although back in the day my job was no better. My aunt (who works in the same company) took me when I was younger one year and they had us watch clips of new movies that were coming out and get our input and then they split us up into groups and sent each group to a different dept. I got sent to the Billing Dept and no joke, I was typing up addresses labels for one of the people that worked there!!!

They basically had little slaves for a day! Maybe I can have one of the kids man the phones tomorrow?
