Fun/different rehearsal dinner locations?
We are looking for something kinda fun for the rehearsal dinner, since the wedding is pretty formal. We are looking for somewhere in Nassau or Western Suffolk.Any suggestions? We're thinking about maybe the 56th but I'm not totally sold on it.

We also wanted something fun and very casual. We will be doing ours at Jillians in Nassau. I believe they have a website. www.jillians.com.

I had also thought of Jillians - the one is nassau has good pizza's and apps, I would do those rather than the entree's which aren't so good. (My DH had coupons, so we've eaten almost everything on the menu...). We went for chinese for ours which I thought was different. (the orchid in garden city) the food was very good.

How about Dave & Busters? Its kind of like a Jillians but its geared more towards adults (and just as expensive!!!) They even do a murder mystery theatre dinner show! They just opened the place on Vets Highway, exit 57 off LIE. Ive only been there for lunch once, the food was average, nothing to brag about. Their menu is very similiar to Bennigans/Houlihans.They have a website www.daveandbusters.com.

Re: Fun/different rehearsal dinner locations?
We had our rehearsal dinner at Tequila Sunrise in Bayshore - they also have other locations and I think one is in Nassau. They did a great job - and had a strolling Mariacchi band Thurs - Sat so we had a festive addition without the cost! We were happily surprised to find that they had decorated the area with balloons and had done custom menus with our names and date for each place setting - something that had not even been discussed during the planning! Pricing was reasonable and they offered a couple of different options for bar drinks so you could control the costs. Friends and family showed up in pancos, sombreros and festive, mexican-styled clothing to add to the fun.

There is a tequilla Sunrise in Rosyln I think on Willis Ave (but I'm not sure). You could also try Shiro - it is a habachi place like benni hannas but better (IMHO). They cook at the table and I have seen lots of people going there to celebrate different things. They take reservations
Waterzooi's in Garden City is nice - They have amazing mussel dishes - with tons of beers and different martini's. But all the food there is excellent.
