Since most of my family is in CT and I don't have a bridal party, I have to take a more active role in planning my shower.
That being said, I don't want it to be just lunch and presents and then everyone leaves. But on the other side, I don't want to be planning Bridal Bingo and the other typical shower games.
Does anyone have any ideas to make a bridal shower more fun and or maybe some new games?

I just had mine yesterday. We had a open house. There were about 25 women who came in and out over the course of about 4 hours. My mom had it at her house and had lunch, finger food and desserts available the whole time. I opened gifts in small groups as ladies were sitting there eating. My favorite part, my mom had a wine wishing well, asking guests to bring a bottle of wine and a wish. So, I have a newly stocked wine cabinet! It was a nice change to the more traditional shower of a standard eating time, surprise and the gift opening marathon.

Love that idea... and you are more relaxed at your home instead of being in a stuffy restaurant.. that being said there is a website.... oh what is it if you google fun bridal shower games it is like the 2nd one that comes up... (sorry long night last night, cant function too well right now

at my shower my bridesmaids did a really fun activity.
There were two clip boards that were passed around the room- one had my name at the top, the other had DH's name at the top. The instructions were for the guests to 'write our vows' for each other- each guest wrote something that we would promise to do for each other in our marriage. The BP arranged for DH to be at my shower for the last hour- he and I read to each other the vows that our guests wrote- they were hilarious!
