Ok so this fundraiser is not going as planned! I can't believe what Timber Point is telling me! I have not asked for money back or to change anything except to make this wedding a fundraiser instead....WELL...Ben informed me that if it was not specifcally a 'wedding' that they would only allow me to put half my deposit towards the party and they keep half! CRAZY! Now I am not changing date/time/# of people....NOTHING! So why do they think this is ok?? Just because it is no longer labeled a wedding???? I'm furious! I will keep everyone updated on the final outcome because you have all been so wonderfully supportive!
PS. The future ex moves out on Saturday....I am handling this surprisingly well I must say! Thanks for everything ladies!

Re: Fundraiser & RH Drama!
Fine, then tell them it's a wedding!
Are you having an MC/DJ that will be running the event?

Re: Fundraiser & RH Drama!
That is crazy that they are giving you a hard time. What is their reasoning behind the decision? I believe they are being unreasonable...maybe you might want to talk to an attorney to see if they can help you get the RH to be reasonable. If you need an attorney on this, I'd be happy to help you. Just FM me.
Good luck.

Sorry they’re being so difficult! Have you started with the divorce papers? You did say you were married, right?
Good luck with everything!

Then you know what it is a wedding. You are marrying yourself. Let's see how they handle that.

Re: Fundraiser & RH Drama!
what is there reason for why they say that they have to keep half of the deposit? if you havent changed anything at all except the 'wedding dress' then they cant do that.... i would think they would almost be happier that it isnt a wedding and they are still getting the same price. etc for everything. they should be happy you didnt cancel at all...
and what kind of decent human being would be such a hole when they know you are going through all this!
if you need anything let us know.... maybe we will all just show up at the banquet office... then what!

Re: Fundraiser & RH Drama!
That is crazy and I would definately review your contract. I would think they would be happy since fundraisers usually get some kind of publicity. I know they are a well know company but still everyone wants a little extra publicity!

Re: Fundraiser & RH Drama!
I would ask them how they would feel about you going to channel 7 and having a report on TV about how they treated you- because that is seriously awful to do to someone and they would get sooo much bad press- i would seriously call help me howard on this- he looooooves these kind of stories.
