Funny Encounter with Aaron and Helene...
This story is tooo funny...
My sister has worked at Radio City Music Hall for the last 10 Christmas'es. It started as a holiday job when she was in school and they called her back every year since.. Its like a 2nd home to her...
I'll begin by saying that with 3 kids, 3 1/2 and under, all 3 in diapers, and lately working 10-14 hour shifts at RCMH, she has not watched much TV, therefore she has NO CLUE who or what 'The Bachelor' is... I usually have to remind her of when something is on 5 minutes before it starts if she tells me she wants to see it...
Yesterday she was working at the ticket booth, where you would pick up your tkts if you ordered them over the phone...
Up comes this couple, Aaron Borge and Helene (last name ..something ...wicz.. lol..) Anyway, they ask for their tickets and my sis doesnt see their names listed anywhere, and asks them what show they are there for. They say they have no clue. They arrived at like 3pm and there was a 2pm and a 4pm show... So they were either early or late !
So she asks them who put in the order, they have no idea. (sis is getting fustrated that they know nothing, lol).
She's thinking 'who are these AIRHEADS ???'
So she asks them for ID.
She notices on Helene's license that her last name looks Polish (because it ends in the same 4 letters as a friend of ours who is Polish).. So she strikes up a friendly conversation and asks Helene if she is Polish, because of the last name. Helene says she has no idea 'It's Russian I think, or Polish, not sure'...
Back to the tickets, she cant find their names listed anywhere. They tell her they just came from 'The View' and again, non-tv watcher, my sister is like 'yeah yeah' to herself. She gets tons of people that come and say that they are the sister of a Rockette, or the best friend of Dave Letterman, so she doesnt fall for it.
She tells them she was going to have to turn them away, but she just wanted to doublecheck with the Head of the Dept, that these were not just called in at the last minute, and she didnt have the info there at the front desk.
She calls her Director and was told ' ....uhmmm... Thats the Bachelor !!!!!' and they had just gotten a call from 'The View' and she was like 'huh ?? who ???' (nice of them to communicate it to the front desk, lol)
And needless to say minutes later, A and H got the royal treatment, were welcomed in to RCMH with open arms and saw the next show....
I thought that was hysterical.. Its SOOO like my sister to not know whats going on on TV (aside from Nickelodeon!).. and Aaron and Helene must have thought 'is she KIDDING ME ?? She doesnt KNOW WHO WEEEE ARE ????'
