In the course of wedding planning, I am sure we all had that moment where someone joked about what you could do for the wedding, or even joked yourselves about ridiculous ideas.
What are the best ones you remember??
For example, here are some of mine:
From FH: Instead of the 'Here Comes The Bride' horn in the limo, we can have 'La Cucaracha'
From my brother: Maybe you can serve White Castles at your wedding!!
From an old co-worker: You can always rent out the playroom at McDonalds and get the crown for free!! I added on to that we can have Ronald McDonald as the officiant.
From my dad after I submitted a photo of Kate Beckinsale in Van Helsing for how I wanted my hair: You can have a Van Helsing themed wedding, and have the bridal party dress up as vampires.....

I can't think of anything crazy people said.. Just my mom when we got engaged she said 'so what kind of hats are you going to have the girls wear' OMG!! Hello?? Not 70's anymore? Get a Clue!

FH wanted to grow a mustache and have all the GM have different styles of mustaches
He also joked since we are going less formal he would wear a tuxedo tee-shirt

I wanted a costume wedding SO badly. Bridesmaids would be the spice girls Groomsmen either the village people or in yankee uniform.
My mom did like my idea with her as a nun and my dad as a priest.
FH did like it and he wanted to be superman, but it didn't quite go with me as the devil in a blue dress.

FI wanted THEME MUSIC for the entire wedding - He thinks he's a wrestler...like Hulk Hogan...walking into 'REal American' - when I told him I'd get him a RD Groom's Cake of Shea Stadium, he said he wanted a wrestling ring with action figures and american flags.
FI also wanted the GM's and him to wear MONEY GREEN LEATHER suits.
FI also wanted to him and the GM's to wear PRISON outfits and walk down the aisle to Akon's 'Locked UP'

OMG I can imagine my FH standing at the altar with a ball and chain on his ankle.....
He also joked that our entrance into the reception music should be 'Highway to Hell' by AC/DC
He also joked that instead of wearing a tiara, I can wear one of those fruit hats on my head like Carmen Miranda.

FI wanted us to have the reception in White Castle. He had the whole menu planned. Passed onion and chicken rings, french fries. The main course would of course be the burgers, with or without onions. Instead of champagne, everyone would toast with a shake. And of course the workers had to be in tuxedos! He thought this was so original until he saw an email with a pic of a couple who apparently did this.

My dad still tells me to go to Vegas and elope!!!
One true story, however. My ex said his sister got married in Vegas (she lives there) by a drunken Elvis. And he said it was all on tape and was the funniest thing ever!!
So now everytime someone asks me why don't we go to Vegas to get married, I always add on, and get married by a drunken Elvis?
