Funny re-gift story!!!

Well I had to share....
after cleaning out my closets this week (I'm on vacation) I found a set of dishes my FMIL 'best friend' gave us for our e party. I pulled them out and looked at the service for four...maybe I could live with the orange flowers...maybe...so i search online EVERYWHERE for these dishes. NoWhere to be found..not to return not to buy the other four settings nothing! Well after opening the box I find a dish wrapped in a newspaper from 1996, addressed to that person's house!!!!!
It's gets even better.....
After I tell my FMIL and FSIN they start hysterically laughing!!! Turns out this woman gave my FSIL the same other four for her shower five years ago!!!!!
I told my FMIl she should wrap the dishes and give them to her friend's son for his wedding!
People have nerve!!! what the heck should i do with these things now??? and to think I wrote her a thank you last summer!!!

That is too funny!! Thought I'd share my re-gift story. A few years ago my friend gave me a Mikasa frame that I knew I would never use. So when one of my girlfriends got engaged I put in a basket with a ton of other gifts for her. 3 years later I got engaged and guess who got that frame?!!!!! ME!! I guess she didn't like it either. I never told her I regifted it, so I couldn't tell her that I gave that frame to her. But my other girlfriend said isn't that the?...... We had a good laugh.

i guess the moral of the story is to always open the gifts...
there was a tv show where years after they received the gift(they didnt want) they found a check written out to them in the box with the gift.

I love that episode it was King of Queens and the gift was a gravy boat Those were both funny stories! I agree give her son the gift
