Funny RSVP

I couldn't find the original thread- but we got an RSVP today..even though the cutoff date was july 19th! and it was a note to my parents.. saying

'Sorry we can't make it to Diane and Joseph's wedding...blah blah blah'

Umm, my name is DianA with an A and fh is VINCENT!! Who the H E L L is Joseph??

They have been very good family friends for about 15 years. And I used to babysit their children..nice to know they never knew my name and that they can't read out invite..which says VINCENT on it twice!!

Oh well, it made me laugh.

that's funny! i have a funny story too -- when my ex-boyfriend got married, he got a wedding card to him and ME. they put my name instead of her name! is joseph an ex-boyfriend?!?

Maybe they would've changed their mind and attended had they known it was really you!

Meanwhile, I'm so surprised that only two people have written any little notes on my rsvp's. Not even my Mother wrote a note.

Oh man..what did your ex's wife do?? I would have been PISSED and felt awkward around those ppl forever!!

hahah I had someone send us a gift in the mail and my fiance's name is Walker and it said Walter on the outside of the box!!! I was like oh this must be from my family - BUT NO it was from his Aunt!! HAHAHAH i had a good laugh about that one...

you should say something as a joke but that is so funny. Its bad enough they spelled your name wrong but they completely got your FH's name wrong, its not even close

luckily my FH and I are really good friends with them and his wife is incredibly laid back so she thought it was funny. somehow i don't think i would've found it funny though!

How could they not know who your FH was!!!!! After all you personally know them!!!! If this was me my FH would be all over that as a joke!! We still laugh about the registry. There is a girl with my same name getting married to a Joseph..he turned and said to me ' Whose Joseph?'

I think it's funny that it is the same name as my situation!!!..lol

I had a cousin do that on our engagement card. They didnt come to the e-party but sent a gift anyway. She wrote to Marisa and Peter - who the bleep is Peter???

So when FH and I saw her at another cousin's wedding, I said, 'You remember 'Peter,' right?' (By this time she'd caught her mistake and felt so bad so we had to bust her chops)
