I had two people check both accepts and declines...I had to go to each of them and say 'Well? whats it gonna be? Are you coming or not?' Apparently one did it by accident and the other 'copied' because they thought thats what they were supposed to do![]()
I also have people asking if they need the ticket to get in...our save the dates look like concert tickets (but we made them magnets) people actually think they need them to get in.
that is REALLY funny!

Re: Funny RSVP Responses!
Adding some more!A male friend of mine (a law student!) never RSVP'd for our e-party and I insisted that he RSVP for the wedding.
Part I: here is an AIM convo we had last week:
[me]: ahem... mail back your rsvp!
[him]: i have too........cant i just tell you that im going?
[me]: nooo lol. my mom wants the actual cards and it makes it easier to do table arrangements
[me]: i stamped it for you, just check the box and bring it to work and put it in the outgoing mail pile
[him]: yeah, maybe ill do that
[him]: i cant find that little card....u have antoher?
[me]: hahahaha
[me]: if you are 100% sure you are coming i might be able to mark you off, but we have to give the NRC a count and pay per person, so you really have to come if you tell me you are coming
[him]: yeah, i told you im gonna come, its the 13th right
[him]: or 12
[me]: no
[him]: 19
[me]: august 17th!
[him]: cool
[me]: lol put it in your calendar now lol
[him]: yeah, im going
so, I send that convo to a mutual friend and insist that she make sure he show up on the correct day... and she was laughing but said they will come together.
Part II: He finds the RSVP card! Apparently he put it with his 'important papers' so he wouldn't lose it -- so it was in a pile with his BIRTH CERTIFICATE and his COLLEGE DIPLOMA!
He found it and mailed it in (we just got it on wed), but not without first asking what the M with a line was for

Re: Funny RSVP Responses!
In the last year we have had quite a few weddings in my family (a couple of cousins, my brother) and my aunt has brought feathered boas to each of them. So on her RSVP card she wroteWill be there with boas on!
My Grandma wrote: Will be there will bells on (no boas for me!)

and my cousin, her daughter has to take care of her,i didnt know that asthma was a debilitating disease that required constant bedrest and care
(not saying asthma is anything to laugh at i have it :) )

Re: Funny RSVP Responses!
To sum up a very long story-my brother has a friend that has been in the family for 25 years so we invited him to the wedding. I heard that he has been having issues dealing with his mother's loss which was about 1 or 2 months ago. Apparantly he had a falling out with my brother over it and his response was '** (my brother's name) are no longer friends therefore I will be unable to attend' and crossed out the M_ on the card and wrote in DRMy FH's cousin didn't write anything on the outer but a long note on the inside' we are very sorry to tell you, that we can't attend. me being out of work and (name) being six years our funds for anything are lower than low' with a few other nice words.

Re: Funny RSVP Responses!
On of my single male (immature but always very funny) friends told us that we 'wasted too many trees with all of the papers that had in the envelope.' He said we should have just written the date time and place on a post it and given that to everyone. Anyway, in the invitations was that little piece of tissue paper. So he goes on a rant about all those papers saying how unnecessary they are, so he goes ' and this! what the he11 is this??? (refering to the tissue paper) is this for in case your guests have a cold or something?? Well, I dont have a cold, so I'm sending it back to you!'Sure enough, when we got the RSVP back, inside was also the tissue paper with a stick figure drawing of me and FH and a midget (don't ask...he is obsessed with midgets...he said he is bringing one as his guest lol)

Re: Funny RSVP Responses!
My older brother and his wife were #33 on their response card. On the back he drew an arrow with a questions...'What is this for?'He then proceeded to list a group of 13 things that the #33 could stand for including...
Patrick Ewings number on the NYKnicks
The international calling number for France
Some weird scientific thing I had no idea about
and The number of times my crazy aunt vacuums in a day....
I cried while reading it it was so funny!
