Funny Story

My mom was talking to a teacher at my sister's school and her daughter is getting married. She was telling my mom, 'they are crazy they want to get married next April on Friday the 13th!' And my mom said, 'Oh my daughter too! Where is the reception?' She said, 'Oh they are looking at this place called Land's End.'

um awkwardddddd.....

My mom thought she was kidding but apparently she wasn't, so my mom nicely told her, 'unfortunately it's already been booked! That's where my daughter's wedding is!' She was just like, 'Oh! I guess they'll probably go with their #2 choice then, Flowerfield.'

But when my mom was telling me she was like, 'Sorry, Charlie!! Too late!' And we had a laugh. It did make us very glad for making the decision nice and early though! There weren't any other days in April my church was available!

That's a funny story. ( I wrote that before I read the title so don't mind if it sounds cheesey) I would hate to be on the other end of convo and have to tell my daughter the bad news.

I agree!! I thought it was weird that they hadn't asked and realized themselves yet that it was booked. But perhaps they decided on the date after seeing it.

I thought it was weird and I couldn't believe it, and I even got slightly defensive (hehe bridezilla) and panicked! But I was like no, they have our deposit and signed contract we are good. lol Flowerfield is just as beautiful and the same caterers so hopefully they are able to book there!
