Funny Wedding Moments

I just wanted to share:

I'm a BM in my FI's friend's wedding this summer, and I was invited to go dress looking w/the bride b/c we figured 'hey, two birds w/one stone right?' Anyway, we walk into one of the high-end botiques in NYC, and the first dress she saw, she ran to, hugged, and SCREAMED 'THIS IS IT, THIS IS SO IT, I'VE DREAMED ABOUT THIS DRESS MY ENTIRE LIFE! I MUST HAVE IT.'

This is when the associate came up to her, and when asked 'How much is it?' the associate, turned and told us 'This dress is $12,300.'

Of course my friend turned around and sadly said 'THIS IS SO NOT IT....MOVING ON.'

I THOUGHT IT WAS ABSOLUTELY HYSTERICAL!

When we were at the altar, after we just walked down the aisle, the priest said something about 'in this day and age, I now have to ask you to turn off all cell phones..' and my DAD who was standing between DH and I, reaches into his tux pocket to turn off his phone
I started to laugh...I mean...who is going to call him, everybody he knows is there

At my friends wedding last month a grooms man's cell phone rang during mass and he answered it! He was surprising the bride with a bagpiper at the reception and they were calling to confirm.

Also at the same wedding when it came time to sign the license, the priest couldn't find his pen so he went to the podium to ask if any of the guests had one. Luckily, there were many pens offered.

We forgot our rings at home - our dads ran back to get them!

also..

When I was about to walk down the aisle with my dad, he said.. 'Ok, lets start with our right foot'.. I agreed and then stepped with my left foot first!

both of these funny moments helped ease my mind walking down the aisle.. i did not shed a tear until the vows!

I got married outside during the remnants of the hurricanes this summer. There was rain, a lot of wind, thunder and lightning. So that caused some funny things:

The rabbi's yarmulke flew off his head while he was walking down the aisle. The preist ran after it and returned it to him.

When my dad and I were waiting to walk out, he said, look at that lightning. Not realizing it was lightning outside, I said, 'What!' in a panic. He responded, 'Oh, its just the flash from the camera.'

My little cousin asked my grandmother, 'Why are we sitting in the rain?'

On the way to the ceremony, I was in the limo with my mom, my brother, and my cousin (matron of honor)

My brother was all proud of himself, lookin good in his tuxedo.

so, he said to our cousin, 'YEAH, you wish we weren't cousins, don't you???'

so, she replied, 'Ummm, Vic, your fly is open'

it was hysterical! And, thank god she noticed!!! He was the one who walked me down the aisle!

During our ceremony I went to put my DH's ring on his middle finger instead of his ring finger. I don't see to the right so I didn't realize that I didn't have the right finger until DH whispered 'wrong finger babe' then I started laughing a little and then I couldn't get DH's ring on (he has very big knuckles) so I laughed even more & he had to get it on all the way.

i was cool as a cucumber the whole morning of the wedding. seriously, i was the bride who could handle ANYTHING you threw at me. i was smiling, telling jokes, etc. I had to wipe everyone else's tears. until it came time for the vows. right then and there i started bawling and when i cry, i get all...um, shall i say, snotty. so i blew not one, but two, snot rockets which i promptly sniffed back up, but the best man and dh started laughing their a$$$ off and so did my mom and dad. helped the moment!

OMG - I so hope that doesn't happen to me (I'm a huge crybaby).

When it came time to blow out the individual candles for the unity ceremony mine would not go out. When I get nervous I laugh which made it even harder. The bridal party was hysterical, the priest gave me a disapproving look. All of which made it ten times worse. I kept blowing while laughing and spitting. It was a mess. Finally my DH helped me to blow it out. I find it funny NOW considering what it sybolizes.
