Re: furnature stores

La-Z Boy has some nice things & Pier 1. We also bought things from Levitz & didn't have any problems.

I hear Raymore Flanigan are great as well.

We had a great experience at Rooms Unlimited for our couches.

Re: furnature stores

I Pottery Barn. It is a sick obsession really. I have my home furniture all planned (we are waiting to close), and I also have items I love from:

Ethan Allen
Pier 1
Fortunoff
Domain (they have seasonal sales - otherwise too $$$ for me!)
Ballard Designs
Seamans

Good luck!

Re: furnature stores

thanks I guess I should have been more specific, DH and I like contemporary stuff and things from the 1940s era, i.e. mid century modern.

We found a couch and chair set we loved at Philip Engle on rout 110 yesterday. It will be done in cream colored leather.

I guess I need to find tables (coffee, and kitchen and dining room, and chairs to go with it and a bedroom set.)

Re: furnature stores

We did really well at The Place and at Penn Furniture. Both on 110 in Farmingdale.

DH and I got some beautiful things at Raymour and Flanigan - they had great prices and a good selection.
