Furniture???

Ok, need some suggestions. DH and I are going to start furniture shopping tonight. What places do you reccommend we look at? We are in the area of massapequa, so anywhere around there. I know Rt. 110 has tons of places but not sure which ones are better then others.

Thanks!

I got my bedroom set and kitchen table from Tiffany Furniture on 110. I had no problems with them and they were pretty reasonable. Goodluck!

I got my couches at Siegerman's on Route 110. Great price, easy to deal with, ontime delivery - they said 5 weeks, it came in 4-1/2 weeks, they said between 7 am and 10 am, they rang the bell at 7 am on the dot.

I usually go door to door depending on what I am looking for...

Thomasville
Huffman Koos
Siegermans
The Place
All Wood Furniture (has some real cute kitchette sets...)

Seamans Old Country Road in Carle Place. Ask for Frank Cusa. He helped us and we bought our kitchen set, living room set and mattress from him. He is really a nice guy and he didnt pressure us into buying anything.

I got my livingroom set from 110 home furnishings. They have alot of nice stuff in there. I'm now looking for cocktail and end tables. I usually hop from place to place on 110 like someone else mentioned.

We got our LR furniture at Levitz on 110. Our kitchen set at JCPenney's in Massapequa, and some odd and end furniture(couch table, bar stools, and other accent pieces) at The Curtain Store(all handpainted furniture, nice for crafts too), and the Carolina Direct Store on Park Blvd, in Mass. Park. We live in Mass park.

Another place to try in Carle Place or Farmingdale is 'the place'.

I have to give another of my warnings regarding Huffman Koos .. please stay away from this company. They have nice furniture .. however .. if you have any kind of issue with anything .. they are absolutely horrendous and sickening to deal with. We had issues with a dining room table that was delivered .. and it took nearly 1 year to get a table that was acceptable enough to just give up and settle with it. The final table we ended up with was the 5th table .. and we still needed to have a technician come in and do some fixes on it .. and that was the second technician visit. Of the nearly 1 year that they dragged out this ordeal .. about half of that time was wasted by people with their organization who did not return phone calls.

I wish we had this icon back then:

Because that's an understatement to how I felt. With so many other furniture companies out there .. shopping at Huffman Koos is so not worth the risk of this type of aggrivation. (And this is the abbreviated version.)

Route 110 Home Furnishings was good in our experience.

With business like that, I wouldn't be surprised

I got my sofas from Jennifer Convertables on 110....

I know there's 'THE PLACE' on there too, haven't been to that one, but have purchased furniture from their location in Carle Place on Glen Cove Rd. and that was a nightmare.

Re: Furniture???

We got our couches from The Place on 110......they are great couches and exactly what we were looking for - but make sure you keep in contact with them....they wound up not ordering our couches when we put the order in and by the time they did order tham, one of the fabrics we had chosen was no longer being made....so we had to choose a new one.
But, they were very nice about it and the couches are great!

Re: Furniture???

We're in Seaford and we went up and down Rt 110.

We got our bedroom set in Sieman's.
We got our family room set & living room set in Levitz.
We got our tables in Tiffany Furniture.

Good luck with your search! You can spend an entire day on 110!
