we have a spare room in our apartment that we want to make into a nautical themed office/guest room. we went looking for white furniture-a desk and futon--we only saw one white futon and we loved it-but it was $500. no white desks to be found anywhere that weren't for kid's room. Anyone know where we can find nice white furniture-that's not tacky--we thought that white would give the room that nice summer cottage, beachy feel. the carpet is royal blue (not our choice lol) so we are trying to work with it!
the other option is that overstock.com has nice futons for around $350 with the frame and mattress and free shipping--not white-but a natural finish-what do you guys think? is their furniture good quality? TIA

Re: Furniture Question
These are from Crate & Barrel...my MIL just did my SIL's room with the white desk, dresser and night table and a rought iron bed. It's beautiful
do you think the TARGET store has that desk? i didn't see it when I was there. maybe i can call different stores! it's perfect! is it pure white? It looked a little off white--still great though!! I would just have to make sure the futon matched.
