OK I can't keep track of all the FM's so I will do it in a post
The hutch they are insisting that it can be fixed if they order another back panel. I told the guy that this is not acceptable, because that one will probably be warped also. He said they have to do it that way FIRST because there is nothing wrong with the front, besides the broken glass. He also had to realign a door on the hutch and redo EVERY CHAIR!
Upstairs, he said the bed is NOT SAFE! and that DH should put wood under it to support it. They are definitely ordering me a new footboard and mirror. He said that the armorie is doing that because the floor isn't leveled, he put a shim under it and it stopped it. That is the ONLY thing that I can accept so far, because after all the house is 32 years old and it is possible the floor is not perfect.
Time frame for my new bed 2 months!
I cannot believe I paid 6k to cause myself aggrevation!

Re: FURNITURE UPDATE
Rooms Unlimited huh!!! I am having problems with them RIGHT NOW, we ordered 3 pieces and 2 came broke. We ordered love seat, rocker and curio cabinet, rocker legs were broken and the curio cabinet doesn't close, the rocker just came last night at 9:30 pm, this is the 2nd time my husband took off without pay and it came much later than they told us, late enough he didn't have to take off work. The cabinet will be repaired this week. I think this happens with ALL furniture stores though, I am convinced!!

Karen
I agree but I don't like being told that I am a liar and that I am the ONLY customer that is having a problem with them!!!
That ticks me off, I am not stupid. I can understand what was said to me, I don't have to be lie to and be verbally abused by a store.
I COMPLETELY understand things come in damaged or can break in shipping, I was not even phased by the glass being broken on the hutch, but for the engineer to tell me the bed is not safe is another story! For them to tell me the replacement glass will be here on Monday and it's now Wednesday and no glass! To tell me when I tried to refuse my shipment, because of the damages that sorry no refunds on custom orders (which this wasn't) read your contract. I mean enough already, you know.
Karen, I hope that you have better luck with them then I am having.

Re: FURNITURE UPDATE
***?!?! That stinks...
I'm sure you have, but did you call the store and speak to the owner or a manager, or someone to let them know exactly what is going on. I cannot believe that...and now to wait even more...just not acceptable.
I'm so sorry...

Jen you want to hear the kicker I was speaking to the part owner. But when I called him on that, he said I am not the owner who told you that. I said people that work for you. He said they would never tell you that, because it's a lie. So I said, are you telling I am a liar AGAIN. He said not but no one would say that. So I whipped out the phone and called hubby, put the guy on the phone- said ask him I won't even talk to him you ask him without him even knowing. He said I don't have to do that. Then that night when they were here to deliver the chairs, the movers cell phone rang. I half heard him from inside, I jokingly said to him did I hear you say you were at 'THAT' house, I am labeled over there already huh, and he said that was RJ, the owner checking where we were at with your shipment. So I was lied to again, or everyone of their people doesn't know who owns the company they work for!

Not all are bad, though a lot are. I got a sofa and coffee and end table from Bare Boards in Bohemia and everything arrived on time (2 separate orders) and much earlier then the estimated delivery. The 6-8 weeks for the sofa was about 3 weeks! (They delivered the sofa on a weekend too!)
There were a few minor problems - the sofa company forgot to include the arm covers which Bare Boards got for me with no hassle in about 10 days, and DH had accepted delivery on the tables and I later noticed a tiny - teeny chip on one glass corner that he had missed. I called Bare Boards and they ordered a replacements, no problem. It arrived in about a week, but unfortunately had not been wrapped good enough and it too had a chip so they gave me the perfect piece from the floor model so I wouldn't have to wait any longer. A+++ service in my book.
I also ordered a Drexall Heritage dining room table, 6 chairs and a bakers rack/buffet from Furniturlandsouth.com. Again, they were absolutely professional to deal with, delivered before the estimated date - on my requested Saturday within the 4 hour time frame they said they'd be here. Everything was absolutely perfect and the delivery guys were so nice and polite when they assembled the parts. A+++ to them too.
