I second Raymour and Flannigan! Also.. if you are looking for a really good quality bedroom set I would go to Gothic Cabinet Craft! Most places don't make furniture like they used to...and I found that GCC is the best quality!

anything you see in the furniture stores can be found in NC for way less especially since most furniture is built there & then shippes here. But if you dont want to deal with that we bought all of our bedroom furniture from the Door Store. Also Macy's & Raymour 7 FLannigans has nice stuff. I hear Bob's is pretty good too. But i couldnt tell you i never shopped there. Good Luck
There is a NC furniture store on Sunrise highway I think in Copiague. They can get you name brand good funiture for A LOT less then the other stores. They can pretty much get you whatever you want, but I suggest you go other places to look first bc the only problem with that place is you dont get to 'test' the furniture, so you need to go in with an idea (or hint: style number) of something you want. My parents went to a well known place , saw a computer desk/cabinet thing for 1500, went there is was around 800 for the EXACT same thing. I went there with an idea for the bedroom furniture I have now and the guy knew exactly what book to look in (he's got lots), and was really willing to spend a lot of time with me. ANother thing that you have to be aware of is it might take at least 6 weeks to get, but it is worth the patience for the price.

Anyone buy from Bobs Discount Furniture?
I bought a sofa and two arm chairs from there about a year or so ago and they were soooooo uncomfortable after you sat on them for a few minutes that I gave them away and just purchased new furniture. Waste of $$$ for me. But for dining furniture or bedroom furniture you should be ok.

FH and i just bought a beautiful dining room set on craigslist believe it or not. IMO we want a 'just for now' or if we don't like it in a few years we can change it kind of thing. The dining room set is in immaculate condition!

if you want furniture that will last you for more than say.....4-5 years i def wouldnt buy from jennifer convertible. I have a set from them and while it was cheap and perfect for what we need it for, it definitely wont last more than a few years.
