Future In Laws...rawr!

At first I thought my in laws would be great... Well then we scheduled a wedding, and BAM I have an army of monsters!!

So FFIL tells me he is 'passing through' can he stay with me ... so I say sure why not. Turns out he is staying for almost a week!! AND I don't live with FH and FMIL passed away, so its just me and FFIL, hanging out...All he wants to do is show me pictures of classic cars he wants to buy. Then we get talking about the wedding, and everything I have planned, he has another plan... hello, who is getting married here?! And who is paying for this shindig?!

Alright, now I must get back to entertaining...day 2 of the in law 'passing through'... ready, go!!

Aaawwww, I actually think it's kinda sweet. He's really trying and you've got to give him some credit. But I give you TONS of credit for having him stay with you.

I think its nice he wants to see you, but to have an inlaw stay at your house when you are not living with FH is just weird to me.

This is my life in a nutshell. Once you schedule a wedding they get a little crazy.

Like everyone else said, it's cute that he's trying to bond, but that's got to be awkward. Maybe your FH can schedule a father-son bonding date to get him out of your hair at least one night?

If this is the worst of what you have to deal with as far as your in-laws are concerned, consider yourself VERY lucky LOLOL

But in all seriousness, my FFIL passed away on Christmas morning this past year and I miss him dearly and wish that I could've gotten to know him better than I did. I can't help but think how he is missing his first child getting married.

It is so sweet that your FIL wants to include you in on what his interests are and you know men...their attitudes towards weddings is usually 'just tell me when and where' and that's it LOL. Try to appreciate the time you spend with him and I am sure it means a lot to your FH that you are hosting his dad for a week. It is so very nice and sweet of you!

Awkward!! Its nice he wants to hang and get to know you tho. Its also cool that he has a vision of the wedding even if its nothing like your vision. My dad and mfil aren't involved at all. My fmil was crazy before we got engaged and increasingly crazy as time passes. Why didn't he stay with you fiance? Good luck!

Aww hang in there...it is cute, but annoying when everyone else always has ideas of the way THEY want YOUR wedding to go....I hear ya!!

Thanks ladies! You're all awesome, if it weren't for your comments I would have struggled through the day. But everything you said is true! I appreciate it!
