FYI for anyone going to Hawaii on HM
We were watching Travel Channel last night and they were doing a special on best hot dogs. (yeah I know sounds boring but it wasn't!)
And they did a segment on a place in Kauai called Puka Dogs. It's in Poipu Beach. Their buns are actaully 'hero' looking and have a long hole inside for the dog. The hole is toasted by putting it on a hot spike or something like that and then the dog is put inside and then they have these relishes that are supposed to be really good - banana, mango, etc.
OK so it sounds weird but I swear DH and I were DYING for hot dogs after watching it, that's how good they looked. I don't remember seeing the place but DH does and said at the time he didn't suggest it because he figured 'it's just a hot dog'. LOL
So if you go to Kauai try it out and let me know!![]()
