FYI if you haven't booked RH yet or if you're looking into Lessings

just an FYI for girls who are still looking

one of the people we met with today, mentioned that all the Lessing's venues are under special pricing- they are currently giving out their pricing from 1998 and it's only valid until the end of the January

you dont have to book by January but if you meet with someone before the end of January, they will honor the prices they gave you

it's a great deal of savings if anyone out there is looking at Lessing's Venues...and figured it was a good tip to pass along!

we saw bourne mansion today and three village inn

I'm totally in love with the Bourne!!!

My wedding was at the Bourne in 07 and it was incredible! I highly recommend the Bourne and Lessings! LOVED my wedding and my guests still rave about the location and food!
It was at the time - wish they were running special 1998 pricing back then!

Vanderbilt is a little cheaper than Bourne, but it's also smaller, by about 50-100 guests if I remember correctly.

My friends got married at Bourne, everything was so great. But the one thing I found out after the fact is that you have to decorate the entire place yourself. They spent a fortune at Home Goods getting nice little touches and ended up buying their own linens. It's great because you can totally add your own style to everything.

i have the information at home...im at work

but it ranged from 99-155pp

depending on the date

the $99 was for the remaining dates in fall 2010.

plus a 4500 site fee

I don't know how much Bourne is per person, but the Vanderbilt will be $99 pp - she wouldn't drop it down any lower, but will throw things in, depending on your guaranteed minimum. Also the site fee is less - $1500 ($2500 for Sat night). And I think the max # of people is 175.

thanks...

im excited to see the vanderbilt...

175 is fine...we are only having 130-150.

how is the room there?

on the site it looks pretty...but someone mentioned that its awkardly shaped?

my fh is very adamant about having the dancefloor in the middle of the room

It is a 'T' shaped room, so yes it is a bit awkward, but gorgeous none the less. My sister got married there several years ago and everyone still talks about what a unique and beautiful venue it was.

what is in the left and right of the 'T'

tables?

and where is the dancefloor?

on the site it looks like the floor is middle of the T...but in some pics it looks like its at the top of the T

if that makes sense??

I guess Ill see it this weekend!

For my sister's wedding, there were tables in the top part of the 'T', and dancing was in the middle. It may be something that can be worked out according to your preference, I'm not sure. Good luck this weekend!

The less people you have, the less you have to put tables into the left and right of the T. We're planning on having 120-130, so we're not really using the T too much. Below is how we're doing it (Like my 30 second drawing? LOL). Or you can put all the tables on the bottom of the T and have the dance floor in the top part.
