Some advice - MAC makeup artists tend to be veryy heavy handed...Idk how much makeup you normally wear, but I've been actually embarrassed a few times walking out of there b/c I looked like a scary clown, lol....seriously

well thats why i felt even more compelled to say something about making sure to really tell them what you want bc MAC MU in the store like to put on alot...if you go in there youll notice how much they wear too

A girl from mac did my prom make-up and my dress was a dark blue so to match it she did like cleopatra make-up. I have such tiny eyes that with the dark blue on them you couldn't even tell I had eyes! Kind of moulin rouge like. My friends that used sephora had a much lighter make-up application and I think that is free so you can always go in there before hand and make sure you like it but double check on the free thing first, they might have changed it since I had my prom.

Mac did my make up once a couple years ago and they put BRIGHT red lip color on me and also VERY glossy, it kept looking like my lips were bleeding and it was this lipgloss they had that seriously was so hard to take off, even when i did it looked like i ate a cherry pop or something, and they also did dark smokey eyes with the dark red

I worked at Estee Lauder and i have done many a makeover on all different types of people!

Also I bet many of you didnt know this, if you use your new makeup from a counter, and you dont love it you can return it. and get your money back

Used, lipsticks, blush, eyeshadow...I worked at Bloomies and people would come in with a bottle of perfume with one spritz left and say they were allergic, and we would have to give them a new bottle or credit to the store!!!!

So I was in the mall at lunch today and I went to the MAC counter to buy eye shadow. I got to talking to the make-up artist and I asked her how much it costs to get your make-up done there. It's actually FREE for them to do your make-up. The only catch is that you have to buy ANY four of their products. This is very easy for someone who wears MAC regularly. I am actually going to book an appointment with them for my e-pics since I need to buy make-up anyway and I always use their make-up. I thought it was a pretty good deal. Also they told me that they could privately come to your house for make-up application the day of your wedding. That of course is not free and all of the artists charge different amounts. If you are willing to go into the Mac store, you could actually get your make-up application for Free for your wedding if you buy any 4 of the products. HTH

yeah all the make up companies at department stores do make up application...Ive done it quite a few times, sometimes even for no reason lol, but its worked out great for when ive had a wedding or a party.

It's perfect for my e-pics especially since I need the make-up anyway!

JUST make sure that since you are doing it for something like e-pics that you SPECIFICALLY tell them what you want...Ive had it done quite a few times and about half the time it came out HORRIBLE...some of them just like to do whatever is trendy but dont consider the fact that it might not look good on you, i walked out looking like a clown one time. Especially with MAC bc if you notice they use alot of make up and theyll do it for trials too so you need to let them know what you want, dont be afraid to speak up

I use their makeup regularly, but I have had the same experience as above.
