I went on a Friday to my local post office. They took the picture (I thought I looked manly), processed it and sent me on my way within 5 minutes.
No joke, I got my passport 6 days later.
Wasn't a renewal and I had no 'rush' on it!
FYI!!! Isn't that awesome?!
Oh, and I don't look like a MAN after all!

Forget what the passport itself costs - that's standard. The post office tacked on about 30 bucks or so for photos and processing. But it was well worth it.
I went to one by work in the City.

Re: FYI Passport
Ha and to think FH just got me the application yesterday for the passport!!! I think the total cost is $97, or at least that's what it says on the application I have.
I got mine at the Commack PO. I'll let you guys know how fast the turnaround is there once I get mine done.

Re: FYI Passport
When my fiance went to the Kings Park post office, he got his in two weeks. They asked him if he wanted to rush it for an extra $80 or $90 - I'm so glad he didn't!

Re: FYI Passport
Sometimes you get it pretty quickly. I got my passport last year and it came in less than 2 weeks when they said it would take up to a month.
