fyi passports!

Just an fyi if u haven't done ur passports yet they are increasing the fee to $190 by tuesday!

ugh that stinks. I have mine thank god and it doesn't expire anytime soon.

When you renew it though do you pay the same fee or is it normally a lower fee to renew?

Thank goodness I have mine. FH needs to get his though!

You can go to the post office and get an application and go get ur pic taken and bring it back to post office w/ the proper paperwork and they'll send it in.....at least thats how I did mine so many years ago.

you can do that - or town hall does them normally too (depending on your town I guess)

I am glad I got mine before it went up! PHEW! I needed it for sunday anyway lol I have to check when it expires though...

Just be aware some post offices (ie. Farmingdale) will not see you without an appointment...even if you are standing there with ALL OF YOUR PAPERWORK, already filled out...grr...vent over, lol, sorry

WE printed the paperwork off the website, filled it out, looked on the USPS website to see which post offices near us did passports, what time they did them, whether you needed an appointment and which ones took photos.We just paid the PO $15 for the convenience of taking our photo there instead of having to go somewhere else to do it... and paid the filing fee and that's it! You need your ORIGINAL birth dertificate and your driver's license when you go and they take your BC and mail it back to you seperately from the passport. HTH!
