Galoshes or rubber booties for dogs??

Don't laugh!! Ok, you can laugh a little.

We finally found the weirdness of my new dog. He is DEATHLY AFRAID of walking on the wet ground. Should be a joy when we can finally bathe him. Anyway, I need to get galoshes or something because we cannot go through what we went through yesterday with him every time it rains. Any info would be wonderful.

I think you may be right, I just don't know what else to do. We take him out three times a day - around 8AM, 4:30PM and 9:30/10:00PM. He was fine at 8, it hadn't rained yet. We tried twice around 4:30 - nothing. We tried again 3 times around 9:30 and nothing! I finally had to let him go near my building (but ssh, don't tell - I cleaned it up right away) because it was dry and I was afraid he was going to hurt himself! That was at 10:30 last night. So he held everything in for 14 1/2 hours just because he was afraid to be on the wet ground!

My dog doesn't like going on the wet ground either. But he hates wearing his little booties even more!!! I got them from petco...they arent boots, they are like a neoprene material with rubber on the bottom. He hates them!

i have seen them too, they are adorable. Plus, the poor dog, can you imagine what they must feel like in the winter!

I bought the booties for my pooch in the winter and she doesn't know how to walk in them. She's funny to watch, she exaggerates (sp) her steps. It's too cute. Looks a little like those prancing show horses but much less graceful.

I'm gonna have to find pictures of Hershey in hers - she HATES them and walks around looking like a marionette!!! I don't think she's ever actually worn them outside!
