I'm a teacher. Tomorrow I'm showing the kids a movie about the 'Day of the Dead' in Mexico, and then we're having a 'game show' type quiz after it, where if the students get answers right, they get Halloween candy. Should be fun.

I'd love to rent a house on fire island (Davis Park!) for the weekend with my girls and grill out during the day, then drink coronas on the beach in sweatshirts, flip flops, and shorts.

Bonnie, that sounds like fun! I'm totally crashing your BP!!! It changes from day to day... sometimes I would love nothing more than a spa day with all of my girls, other days I want a full-blown going to the clubs falling down drunk type of BP party. Who knows... it's not up to me though, so we shall see.

My mom works for at a middle school as a TA. Every year they have names of kids in the office that teachers can 'adopt' for the holiday season and pretty much buy all of their x-mas presents. Last year, there were a bunch of kids left over so FH & I told my mom to scoop us up a kid and we'll buy all of her presents. FH & I went buck wild! We had so much fun shopping for this little girl! We spent more money on her than we did on each other. It was one of the most amazing feelings.... we'll definitely be doing it again this year!!

well when i first went away to college i moved in and my roomate was something ud read in a magazine and wounder if it was real or not. Anyway her mom and her sister dropped her off on move in day and didnt come back once all semester. She had a computer and her clothes and that was it. i brought everyhing else. needless to say she wasnt very nice and had some racial issues with me. she had none of the stuff she needed to hook up her computer so i went out with my FH and we bought her all the stuff she needed so that she could use her computer cuz she claimed she had no money to do anything on her own. I later find out that she had money just didnt want to spend it and she was so mean. I ended up moving out halfway through the semester and i wanted to take all the stuff that i bought for her but that would have been the wrong thing to do so i just let her keep and just left with out saying a word.

Last semester, I logged online at work to check and see if my grades were up yet from Queens College (I'm in grad school there). I didn't expect them, but when the screen popped up, it was straight A's. I was so excited, I yelled, 'YESSSS!!' A coworker near me asked what was up, and I told her that I got straight A's for the third semester in a row. She said, 'oh, that's great. You're so lucky you go to such an easy school. My son goes to Brooklyn College and has to work SO HARD for his grades.' Whaaaa??? If her son went to M.I.T., I'd understand, but, here she was, trying to kill my buzz because her stupid son doesn't get straight A's and I do.
What movie do you know the best (as in, you can recite some parts along with the actors)?
