Do people always do this? I was hoping to just have everyone mingle, eat and drink.

Personally, I hate games at showers. I've already told my mother I don't want ANY games.

I said the ONLY exception is bridal BINGO where people play bingo as the bride opens her gifts. But I really don't even like that game, lol.

Do you have to supply prizes for the winners? I'm only inviting 30 people so I don't expect gift opening to take that long.. Especially since alot of the older women tend to just give checks.

you really don't have to have bridal shower games. We didn't do games at my SIL's bridal shower.

At the most recent one I attended, we did Bridal Bingo, The Toilet Paper Wedding Gown, and the one where you can say any variation of the word 'Marriage'. They were a fun way to get everyone talking that didn't really know one another.

We had a few games, nothing too terrible. We had a bridal word scramble, then you had to guess how many pieces of candy were in a halloween treat bucket, and then whoever had a racecar and ring taped to the bottom of their plates won a prize. Nothing too painful or horrible, I don't like the usual games

At my sister's, we just had a wedding trivia one and everyone seemed to like it.

I actually dont mind the games, like someone said they keep me entertained lol between eating. Actually at the last shower I was at, they did something really different and fun...they taped the groom while they were asking him questions about their relationship or about his fw, then they brought the laptop with the video of him on it, then they asked the bride the same questions and after she would say an answer, they would play his for everyone to see if she got it correct, if not, she had to put a piece of bubble gum in her mouth...it was just a fun and cute game, imo. By the end, she had like 10 pieces of the big bubble yum. LOL

I spoke to my sister... the only games are bingo and toilet paper brides

Each table receives a roll of toilet paper. Then, announce that each table must choose a 'bride', preferably small in size, like a child. Then, tell the guests they must use the toilet paper, and ONLY the toilet paper to give their 'bride' a dress. The real bride then chooses the table with the prettiest dress, and the winning bride gets a prize

We played it at her friends shower and it was the funnest game ever...with my crew it is bound to be a butt load of fun too!!!

i told her im ok with those... but were asking for people to not wrap gifts so i dont know how bingo is going to work

i wasnt a fan of games so we didnt do them at mine. since my date is 12-5-09,the bridesmaids handed out prizes to the person who gave me the 12th gift i opened, then the 5th after that, then the 9th after that.
