The Garden City Hotel's photo policy says no professional photographers permitted on premises unless for guests having an event at the hotel. Does anyone know if that means my photographer can't take 'getting ready' pics in our rooms?

i think they are refering to around the hotel, like in the lobby - i cant imagine that they couldnt come into the hotel room.....call and ask but dont give you name....you might have to sneak them in!

I would take that to mean a random person could not use their 'facility' for photos. If you are paying to stay there before your wedding as a guest, I wouldn't see how that would be a problem. You could always call for clarification.

ITA, it means that someone not staying there cant take photos on the premises
ETA: I would call to make sure but I doubt they are going to tell you he cant

Re: Garden City Hotel - - - IMPORTANT Question
My rep was out so I hit up the site to see if anyone had experienced this, and . . . yes . . . didn't want to alert them to an issue with my booking! LOL. But I think I read it to mean I'm ok in my room . . . will check when rep gets back and update, for those of you also considering this hotel . . .
Thanks!!

Re: Garden City Hotel - - - IMPORTANT Question
When I first went there to look into booking rooms to get ready, they told me that you are not allowed to take pics in the lobby, outside, blah blah blah. Your room is completely different as they can't come inside. Just tell them that it's a family member!

Re: Garden City Hotel - - - IMPORTANT Question
i asked them this when i was looking for a room for the night before, and they said that you could not take pics in the lobby, grounds, i even think she told me in the room as well, but that seems ridiculous, since they can't come barging on your door to tell you to stop taking pics.

I'm sure you can take pictures in your room, but just a note- you probably won't get away with sneaking them in given that they bring a giant camera and equipment (they are hard to miss), so make sure you confirm with them first!
