How many of you guys are doing the garter thing? Is that popular anymore? Im not sure if I want to do it. Sometimes i've seen it done and i thought it was just very 'trashy', for lack of a better word, and tasteless. I guess that depends on how you want it done.

I am doing the garter thing.
The girls that don't like this..some of them are doing a couples dance...where they do a last man standing sort of thing...the couple that has been their the longest gets the bouquet and the garter, or a gift set..I thought that was cute.

Here's how I feel about the garter bo-k thing... OK, you toss the bo-k and the whore of the party picks it up.. GREAT.. then you do the garter toss and the 8 year old son of one of the guests picks it up.. EVEN BETTER.. and then the whole putting in on the bo-k girl goes on your video and you have to watch it OVER and OVER again for the rest of your life bc it's now PERMANENTLY on your video!!
I am a big NO to the bo-k/garter toss!! Not happening at my wedding!!![]()

hysterical! We're doing it, but none of that 'reach higher, take it off w/ ur teeth' stuff ive seen...i mean c'mon, grandma's watching!
FH just had an awesome idea! Have all married couples stand at their seats. Then have the couples who have been married the longest sit down slowly. Then the last 5 or so couples standing will be married the shortest time. They will come to the dance floor for a 'newlyweds' game. We'll do about 5 questions and whoever wins gets the garter bo-k and bottle of champagne and we tell them to have their own garter fun at home! I thought it was cute and different.
FH is tossing the garter as well.
I am doing it, sooo fun and plus I am getting a blue garter to cover my 'something blue'
we are doing the bo-k toss, but not the garter. I'm not interested in the garter thing and FH would die if I made him do it, so out it goes.
I'm doing the garter and the bouquet toss, FH said he doesn't care but we're so doing it...I want to do all that cheesey stuff on our wedding day!
