i have two garters and will probably switch to the tossing one at a point before the toss.

I am in the same situation ....I have my MOTHER's garter that she wore for her wedding....I'm wearing it and there is NO WAY I will toss it.....so, I'm foregoing the garter toss, and opting for just wearing it all night.........and enjoying the moment.

I am wearing 2 garters...one as my something blue and as a sentimental thing...my mom's mom's garter (my grandmother who i've never met)...which my mom wore on her wedding day....and my mom passed away a year and a half ago and i found it and am going to wear it on my wedding day. I do NOT want it stretched out or ruined or anything like that....so I bought a cheap toss garter (a mets one off of ebay for my fh!!)

I agree with MJDOC.....get a cheapy garter, put it during the reception and toss that.
This way you get to keep your 2 garters that you like
