Garter ?

Hi Ladies,

Do I have to wear a garter if I'm not throwing it? What are you ladies doing? I really don't want to wear it, I'm not doing the something old, new, blue, borrowed, etc anyway? Just wanted some thoughts!!

I don't think you need to wear one, but it's totally upto you. I'm not sold on the idea of wearing one either and I'm definitely not throwing one during our reception. A lot of those wedding 'traditions' just don't fit for us so we aren't doing them.

i don't have one and don't plan on buying one, but if I get one from my bridal party at the shower then I'll wear it... I originally was going to do the old, new, borrowed, blue thing, but I think i'm just gonna skip it because I kinda think it's stupid anyway haha

Na if you don't plan on throwing it then don't wear it if you're not sold on the idea. Lots of people forgo the traditional stuff. I've even heard some brides don't do the bouquet toss either.

We are not doing to bouquet toss either-we just don't want to stop the party and the dj! Want to be dancing and fun all night! I wish we didn't have to stop to eat lol

You definitely do not have to wear it if you aren't planning on throwing it. It would just be something extra to have to worry about putting on that day anyway!

I'm not throwing one - I get uncomfortable watching that at weddings let alone being a part of it at my own. I'm wearing it for picture purposes but that's it. I am throwing my bouquet though.

I'm skipping the toss but I'm wearing one just because my best friend got me one with Ariel on it :) And if you're looking for something blue, I'm putting a blue heart gem on my ring finger nail
