Garter and bouquet toss??

I know I'm not going to do it at my wedding but it's a personal preference. I went to 5 weddings this year and at only one of them they did the bouquet and garter toss.

Garter and bouquet toss??

We've been back and forth as well and right now we're not doing it, and replacing it with an anniversary dance. I don't mind the bouquet and garter toss at a wedding, it's the whole guy putting the garter on the girl thing that just skeeves me.. last wedding I went to the groom's creepy greasy uncle caught the garter and a young girl caught the bouquet. So awkward.

Garter and bouquet toss??

We aren't doing it. Most of our friends are married or engaged, so there aren't many single people. I went to 5 weddings this year also and only saw it done at one. We would rather save the time for more dancing!

Garter and bouquet toss??

We are not doing it. We don't want to waste dancing time and time with family and friends. Not to mention the last 3 weddings we went to... They did the flower toss first and the guys weren't interested in the girl, and no males came up to catch the garter. Is was really awful, embarrassing , and extremely uncomfortable. Those poor girls! So if you do it, do it the other way around!

Garter and bouquet toss??

Nope to both. There will literally be one single person at my wedding. It's just not something that we would enjoy, so the party will continue uninterrupted!

Garter and bouquet toss??

We aren't doing it either. Here's a story for you....This past April I was a bridesmaid and when the bouquet toss came up, there were like 2 single people. So the DJ invites all 'Unmarried women to the floor.' That's me right?!? So I go and I catch the bouquet...I look over and my fiance is not pleased (I can tell from his face) We laughed about it, but that officially ended the bouquet/garter toss convo at our wedding.

What's an anniversary dance?

The anniversary dance is when the dj invites all the a,arrived couples on the dance floor and eliminates them by the amount of time they've been married (3 hours, one year, five years, etc) so the last couple(s) dancing are the ones married the longest, usually a grandparent and they get the bouquet or a separate bouquet of flowers.
