Garter/Bouquet Toss

How many of you are doing a bouquet/garter toss?

My FH is iffy about the garter toss....he doesn't know if he likes the idea of 2 people who hardly know each other getting so close.

I kinda want the bouquet toss....but it is pointless without the garter toss.

What should I do? What are your thoughts?

I say go for it. I think people will be waiting for the garter toss if you do the bouquet toss.
People shouldn't be uncomfortable, they will have plenty of alcohol in them at this point.

My FH caught the garter at my sister's wedding and a woman in her 20's caught the bouquet. No one was uncomfortable, although when he put the garter on her he looked away. We all found it funny.

Look up mrs2012 review and do something similar with the garter toss. It's cute and funny. No one should be uncomfortable with this.

I'll be tossing my bouquet but FH doesn't want to do the garter. His sisters insisted that I throw it. FH wasn't so concerned about other people but didn't really feel comfortable going under my dress in front of Dad, grandma and all of my uncles and cousins. Nor did he feel comfortable in front of his family. It's all personal opinion.

I have also been to weddings where they tossed the bouquet and garter but didn't have the guy put it back on the girls leg. They just took a picture with the bride and groom and it was over.

I say do whatever makes you most comfortable.

I never wanted to catch the bouquet at other weddings, because I didn't want a stranger touching my leg. So I will not be doing a garter toss, but I'm not sure about the bouquet. Do you have to buy a second bouquet to throw? How much does that cost?

FH doesn't want to do a garter toss bc he's not comfortable being the center of attention. This is the as,e guy that wanted to elope so it makes sense. Im still doing a bouquet toss bc I think it'll be fun and I have so many single female friends

We did it at our wedding and the mc blindfolded the guy who caught it and put my husband in the seat instead of the girl. Funniest thing ever!

We are doing the bokay toss, but not the garter. We decided this is one tradition that probably belongs to the younger wedding parties. But that hasn't stopped us for a whole lot of other traditions LOL so I say do whatever you want!

We're in a similar situation. FH kinda wants to do the garter thing but we've been looking at the guest list and there aren't many single people on it. I don't like the wrestling match that happens sometime during bouquet tosses. My friend gave her toss bouquet to the longest married couple. I am still clueless about what to do.

we did the bouquet toss, but not the garter. we decided not to do the garter toss since it can be really raunchy and my family is pretty conservative.

i thought about cutting the bouquet toss, but when i saw the balcony that you get to throw it off of at the bourne i knew i needed to do it lol

We're skipping both. I never wanted to get up to catch the bouquet when I was single and by the time we get married none of our friends will be single anymore!

We are doing both! I like tradition!

Funny enough we went to my fiance's friend's wedding.... they did the bo-k toss (which I caugh! ) but didn't do the garter toss. Which honestly, I found to be a little weird... I was looking forward to my fiance' (hopefully) catching the garter.

I've been to weddings that did both, neither, and just the bouquet. It's all about what you're comfortable with. We both hate the idea of the garter toss and I never liked getting up for the bouquet toss so I'm not going to do that either.

FH and I don't have any single friends so I'm not sure who would even come up to try to catch it. Although FH did tell me that at one of his family's weddings, his grandmother caught the bouquet. Maybe she'll do the same at our wedding!

CRASHING...We are doing the bok toss and FH will be taking the garter off but we are unsure if we will toss it. If we do toss it, the guy will not be putting it on the girl we will give the guys a bottle of liquor with a little poem on it that I found on pinterest.

We will be doing the anniversary dance. garter and bouquet toss to me if people that have quite a few single friends and family and we do not and the ones that are single are related and thats kind of gross to go up your cousins leg. LOL For people that have a younger crowd or just a lot of single guests then it works best. And to me it takes up time that I rather be dancing!

I do not want to wear a garter or have FH go up my dress in front of anyone lol plus I don't want the guy who catches it putting it on whoever catches the bouquet. Ppl will be drinking, I don't want anyone to get stupid or crazy or anyone getting jealous.
