Garter question

Yes I am all full of questions and comments today.

You know how they sell garters with a throwing one and a keeper? I heard you put both on and put the throwing one closer to the foot so the new hubby grabs that one to throw and then you still have the keeper on.

Is this right?

Most garters in those complimentary wedding books (Rexcraft, Jamie Lee Weddings, etc) come with a free one with your purchase of a regular one. I am not throwing mine, but my friend who did wore both of hers - I would show your fiance the one you want to throw beforehand so he knows which one he should get and he doesn't throw your real one by mistake. Just a suggestion

I wore the keeper but put the throwaway in my purse. We did the anniversary dance, so I had time to go get my purse and get the throwaway.
I've never heard of wearing both at once, but I could be wrong.

this is how i understand it.

Yep...that's what I did....I wore the keeper higher up for him to find later!
