Me and FH were talking about not doing the the bouquet toss and giving it to the couple that has been together the longest...but than what do you do with the garter toss??? if we choose to do the garter toss than which girl gets it or is there an alternative to the garter toss???? ( we really have have single girl coming to the wedding) TIA

i am not doing anything to be quite honest. I dont like that it takes away from dancing time. So i'm not doing the bouquet or garter toss and i'm not doing anything in its place.

I'm not doing either of them. Even though it only takes a few minutes It takes away form the momentum of the dancing and partying.... I like tradition but these do absolutely nothing for me.

We are not doing either..I just went to a wedding where they didnt do it and honestly I didnt miss it.

We did both at our wedding and it was really fun. We have some great pictures from them too.
If you're not going to do the bouquet toss, you can still do the garter toss and just have the guy who catches it keep it. Like, not have a 'step 2.'
Or, you could do the garter toss with the couples at your wedding (rather than the single people) and then the man who catches the garter can put it on his S.O. I guess that could get awkward with older people, though.
Maybe talk to your DJ and see if they have ideas of other options. I'm sure they've seen it all in their experience.
