I have Fox News on right now. No explosions... they say it's a gas line on 10th & Bleeker. I'm just glad that I didn't start my new job today.... I'm right in midtown.

They still have no idea what's really going on... the Mayor is supossed to be giving a press conference soon.

Yeah they said they are just afraid of explosions where the initial gas leak is coming from because of trapped gas. They said a private construction company hit a main gas line, well thats what they have reported so far

Bloomberg just stated that while it's an unpleasant smell, it's not harmful what so ever.

Well they just said that trains are back on schedule...They have cleared out most of mid-town, many buildings such as empire state building, macys and so on and schools. They have found the source of the problem, but like i said before they are afraid of buildings exploding from the trapped gas, this is a strong concern by where the problem originally happened

Oh i agree, i think they shouldn't take chances...People were worried it might be something else, but when gas is that strong and spreads across manhattan and Nj it can get people sick...In august when there was a gas leak like this in queens and staten island people got sick and were rushed to the hospital...I just hope everyone is fine.

Yes! There was a gas leak at the MTA Bus depot in East Elmhurst. The college that I used to work for and now again do is right across the street. We heard loud explosions. Everybody started screaming about the gas leak and we all ran out of the building. It was REALLY scary!

yeah that was horrible, and on top of that we were supposed to leave during the 2nd day of that, and we find out on the news that the ship on the way to brooklyn for our cruise had crashed...we had no idea what was going on for two days if we would even go on our trip, plus with the blackout...but they fixed our ship and we went two days later than we were supposed to. It was a crazy time lol...I mean we even waited on line for ice lol
