i am up in the air about them....they are not my taste, but i would not say they are gaudy either

I don't really think these plates are gaudy OR fabulous. They are a little busy for me, but it's hard to say because they are not my taste but I don't think they are ugly. I'm not italian .. maybe that's it?

Our everyday dishes couldn't be more different (plain white square plates, with slate blue and taupe solid accent pieces) but if you like them, go for what you like!

To give you an example, these are our every day plates if you are very italian and like that style i think they are nice!

Ohh, right now I have the blue ones! I love them!

I think they can be tastefully done if you don't do other olive themed items in the kitchen/table settings. they are very nice but play down the glasses, placemats, napkins, towels etc... don't try to match these olives with too much other olive-themed stuff or I think it would be overdone.
