No. I don't feel morally entitled to play around with genetics.

Absolutely not.

Re: Genetic Engineering...
If you mean making a clone of myself or my child, then no.
If you mean supporting the development of genetically engineered crops resistant to blight and drought, then probably.
If you mean substituting one of my 'bad' genes for one that works well and doesn't lead to disease, then yes.

Re: Genetic Engineering...
If it was to lets say make crops better to help with famine, sure.

No, I'm talking choosing the sex of your baby, or choosing eye color. Something frivolous...
BTW I'm a big fat no on this one

Re: Genetic Engineering...
no. nature has this amazing way of always balancing things out. i feel that we are trying to push her buttons a little too much and this is one of those situations that has me thinking it may have some repurcusions that we won't like.

No way, not for our babies.
Plants and animals for research, yes.

The only way I would do it is if I could remove or alter the genes that would cause a disability.

Ditto! that, or if there were a way to remove genes that allowed one to have cancer or similar diseases

Re: Genetic Engineering...
I do it all the time to bacteria, plants and mice at my job. It is a very interesting topic. There are many pros and cons to this new science as far as human health.
Even though I work with genetic engineering and I am love it, I think I will leave the baby thing up to nature!

Honestly, not. I will always leave that in god's hands.
