Genetic Testing

did anyone have genetic testing done prior to TTC - can you tell me about it?

I did. It was all blood tests, so nothing too strenuous. I'm really glad I did it too, since I found out I am a cystic fibrosis carrier. (Fortunately, my husband isn't.)

However, if you would have the baby no matter what I'm not sure you should get the testing. The testing makes more sense if you would consider ending the pregnancy if there was a serious problem. Although some argue that it is still worthwhile for preparation for special needs.
