Gennaro's in Brooklyn

Has anyone attended a wedding or party at this venue. I'm thinking of having one there and I wanted to hear about good and bad experiences there. Thanks for the help.

I was there for my friends wedding back in 2009.
It was an all inclusive wedding, so they got their DJ/photos/Flowers from there.
Also, the package was only for 100 people I think so for every person that they went over they had to pay an additional fee, don't remember what that was now.
However, I know that they had like 120 people at their wedding and it was PACKED in there! I def would not go over that number.

There is only one room, so one party at a time. The dance floor isn't crazy big.
Service was mediocre - nothing to write home about. Same with the food.

They offer Valet parking but they just find parking in the street for you.

HTH!

Haven't gone to anything at Gennaro's but I've heard good things about Gargiulo's & Riviera Caterers in Brooklyn.

I went to a party at Sirico's a few years ago and remember the food being good but the room needs a major upgrade.

We just went to a wedding at El Caribe in Mill Basin and imo, you cannot go wrong with this place. The food, service, everything was incredible.

I've been to Gennaro's for a baby shower and it was very nice. I thought they had two rooms, but not sure. With it being a baby shower there was no DJ so I really didn't notice the dance floor so listen to those who have been to a party that had dancing. With that said, I can't see it being bad for a smaller party.
As mentioned in another post Garguilo's, the Riviera, Sirico's (both of these are amazing), El Caribe and even the Rex Manor are better choices. My son went to a wedding at Sirico's last week and said it was very good.
