Hello Ladies,

I just wanted to post a review of Georgette's Bras in Hicksville, NY. I know most women go there because there are really not many options in the area, especially for hard to find sizes. Well, I took my Mom there on Saturday to get her bra and girdle for my upcoming wedding. The woman who owns the store is absolutely horrible. She is nasty, rude and will make you feel uncomfortable very quickly. I guess she thinks she can treat customers this way because she is old and people owe her something because of this. It is time for her to retire and stay home. When we arrived at the store she took my Mother to the dressing room to get her correct size and to see what type bra she was wearing. The owner quickly began criticizing my Mother's bra. She then began to touch her body around her underarms and waist and said, 'Oh My God, what is this over here' referring to my mother's weight. YEAH!! THAT IS JUST WHAT WE NEED....MAKE US FEEL SELF CONSCIOUS ABOUT OUR WEIGHT!!!! The minute you disagree with her or tell her you don't like something she is suggesting she gets frustrated and walks away. She threw her hands up in the air like a nut and said, 'I can't deal with this.' Well, thank God for Helen which is one of the women who worked in the store. She saw that things were getting bad and that her boss was about to get cursed out. Helen came over to help and she was great!!! She quickly took over the situation and helped my mother purchase a bra and girdle that was correct and that my mother liked. If you really have to go to Georgette's Bra's in Hicksville be sure to talk with Helen otherwise you will be frustrated. There is also another Bra store in Syosset, NY. Take a look there first. TO THE OWNER OF GEORGETTE'S BRAS.....IT IS TIME TO RETIRE, GO HOME AND TAKE A NAP!!!!

Sorry to hear about your experience. I've been shopping at Georgette's for awhile and I think they provide excellent customer service. Every bra I've bought from there fit perfectly and I've never felt uncomfortable when they came to help. I've worked with Helen as well and she was also very helpful.

I went there with my mother also and walked out....the ladies are rude and we were waiting at least 30 minutes with no end in sight. I think they only serve regulars and give them good customer service. Another girl who was waiting before us also walked out. They should have more people working bc they lost out on potentially 300 plus worth of sale. I went to Helen of Troy in massapequa they are great, bought my corset there and lingerie spent well over 300 dollars. Blums was my other option I heard great things.

I have been going there for years too, only had a problem finding a corset bc they aren't comfortable to me and I wanted something that is very hard to find. There is also blums in patchague and a new one in Massapequa by sportsaauthority don't know the name sorry!

I went to Georgette's to find undergarments for my engagement party. There were two old ladies, and they were both adorably charming. They were telling jokes, but I guess I could see how they could be taken the wrong way if I wasn't in a good mood. They found both me and my sister bras that fit perfectly. I've always bought bras at Lane Bryant (H cups, OOF), so I was pleasantly surprised by the pricing at Georgette's.

My only gripe was that the dressing rooms were smelly. Ew.
