Georgio's

Hello,

I haven't been on here in a looong time. FH and I had put the wedding plans on hold for a while to get some t hings sorted out.

We have been looking @ some CH on line. Im very picky and wanted a small thing in NYC @ a rest. but it looks like its not going to happen. SO we looked @ Georgios and spoke to someone there today. They gave us a great price for the time of year. The sun b4 memorial day 2010. $90 pp ++. And had an enormous amount of food. BUT he said they were renovating. I was wondering if anyone had seen it and has pics of it. I cant get there till next week or so, and I just did nt want to waste my time. But I do know the food is great.

They are making the entrance and the staircase larger. I dont think they are making any major changes to the ballroom. From what they told me, the new entry way will be beautiful. It is really clear that they dont skimp on things. They just installed a new gazebo outside and I think it was imported from Italy. It's beautiful.

Is your wedding in the afternoon or evening? Just curious about the price. : )

I didn't know they were renovating but when I booked back in 2007 they said they were changing all the carpets in the ballroom and the bridal suit, and changing wallpaper. When I was there last they had replaced the carpet in the bridal suite.

I am getting married there in 29 days!!!! The replaced the carpets in the bridal suites and the cocktail hour and reception rooms. They replaced the outdated mirrored pillars with beautiful covers. There is a new gazebo outside. It is just very pretty adn TONS of food for your money.

They have an amazing Sunday brunch, you should go and check it out!

I was married there in June and I know they had new carpets put in and covered up alot of the mirrored stuff.

Thats nice that they are redoing the entry way! I love that place and like someone said above...they do not skimp on things - and the food is very good and plentiful! We had an excellence experience there! They were very organized and professional!

I'm a Giorgio's bride! It's beautiful! The food is great and they treat you like they really care about you, not that you are just a number to them (I got this vibe ALOT from other places).

I am not sure when they are renovating though... I'm curious. I would imagine it would have to be in the winter when there arn't weddings going on, right??

Let's hope they wait until Nov 23rd to renovate! That's ALL I need right now
