GET A LOAD OF THIS!!! *VENT*

VENT: Talk about the NERVE of some people!! (I'm still in shock)...

FH and I went to a family BBQ tonight (on his side). We recently had our E-party and tonight at the BBQ we saw his cousin and his fiance (who came to our E-party). Her name is Melody. So I said hello and Melody asked, 'oh did you guys get my present finally?' (At our party she said they ordered it but it was being shipped and Fed Ex must have been slow-- I checked my registry afterwards and nothing that I did not receive at the party was not accounted for-- ODD). So I thought that was weird-- about five days later I checked again and something new was missing... then in three days it got delivered to the house and it was from them. So I'm like, 'OK whatever, they forgot the buy a gift and tried to (lie) and cover themselves, it happens'...

So (in keeping with her lie) she asks, 'did Fed Ex finally send the gift?' So I was polite and of course didn't say that I caught her in a big fat lie LOL... SO I said, 'yes we did!! WE LOVE IT', and before I could get 'thank you so much, I'm mailing out your TY card on Monday' out she goes 'Oh I guess I must have missed the TY card' ROLLS HER EYES and SCOFFS a laugh!!!!


I was SOOOO angry because here I am WRITING OUT THANK YOU CARDS THE NIGHT OF MY PARTY LIKE A FREAK after people left b/c I was so worried about them getting out right away!! I got all of my cards out within THREE DAYS of the party!!!!! There were about 75 cards to write out and I write A LOT of stuff in each one. But obviously I had to wait to write hers until I got her gift LOL which came only about a week ago-- so she is upset that she has not gotten her card yet and it has been EIGHT days since I received the gift!!!!!

WHAT IS WRONG WITH PEOPLE???? NO MATTER WHAT YOU DO IT'S NEVER GOOD ENOUGH-- WHY DOES SOMEONE ALWAYS FIND FAULT AND WHY ARE PEOPLE SO RUDE?? If it was THAT important to you then you should have freaking given us our gift THE DAY OF THE PARTY and then you would have your damn TY card already like everyone else!!!

She seems to be a little jealous. I would have called her out on her lie. Some ppl have nothing beter to do then be RUDE

those people s u c k but you were the bigger person by letting it go... sometimes especially when it deals with family its better not to say anything... just let it go - i had to bite my tongue A FEW times with FH's side of the family but you gotta do what you gotta do

yeah it just goes to show you that no matter what you do, no matter how hard you try-- someone is ALWAYS going to have something negative to say! i got those TY cards out SO freakin fast and it still wasn't good enough-- and for her, even faster! oh well... what can you do?

i wanted to but i thought it would be better to get her where it hurts: so i said (she did not know about this until i told her) 'well, i might be a little more focused on things like TY cards if I didn't have a major crisis going on in my life right now.' i said 'but b/c of my sister's wedding being called off a month before i have other priorities right now.' so she was like 'OMG the sister i met?' and i'm like 'yeah' so she was like 'well, i didn't know that' NO SORRY!!! but she looked like she felt bad but her foot was totally in her mouth-- i was like 'it's hard for me to do ANYTHING wedding related b/c i'm so upset for my sister, so doing wedding tasks are not really fun anymore, at this point, for me' and that was that-- lol she looked like she felt like a jack@$$ b/c she is one!

Don't even stress it - one thing I am realizing in the wedding planning or in life - you can't make everyone happy - someone will always say something -

but you can always vent here!

you are so right!!! that's the beauty of LIW-- as soon as that happened, i looked at FH and I was like 'oh wait until i get home and go on LIW!!!!' hahahaha

She is just rude! Don't let her get to you.
