Get anything additional 'thrown in' in your RH Package??

I was just wondering....if anyone who booked their RH or anyone who went looking....did the BM 'throw in' something addititonal at the end to try to entice you to book with them, and if so, what was it????

At one hall, the BM offered us a 'free' chocolate fountain and at another it was additional dessert tables..... Hey i guess they try to get you with pastries and chocolate LOL

we got to pick the better cocktail hour room.

we got chair covers, extra stations during cocktail hour, ice sculpture, and a cordial cart

We totally made out...right place, right time. We started with the basic package because we couldn't afford the seafood one thats normal for the summer. We ended up with:

dinner:
-1 pound filet mignon (in place of 14 0z prime rib)
-Chilean sea bass (in place of salmon)
-CHicken franchaise

deserts: (before just wedding cake and some cookies)
-waffle station
-zeppoli station
-chocolate fountains

Reception:
colored linens (normall 7 dollars per table cloth plust cost of napkins is additional)

Ice sculpture

Cockatil hour:

WAY better selection-our guys favorites instead of what was printed. Suggested things not even on the menu lol.

LOVE our place!

We didn't get any extras thrown in, but we did get them down in price almost $15pp!

They were really going to charge for colored linens?! Wow.

Sounds like you got a LOT thrown in, though! You must be good at bargaining!

Ya most places charge extra for colored linens because more expensive to buy and clean-Cannot bleach them. 7 bucks is cheap. many places charge a whopping 10 bucks!

Heh we got upgrades basically becaise of an employee grudge...heh cant get into details because not going to jinx us! LOL but let's just say, be nice to people because your loss can end up as another person's gain!

Yeah you can negociate with the RH for free things and/or lower prices on some things. They def try to get you good at the CH and VH, lol, the best parts

Yeah you can negociate with the RH for free things and/or lower prices on some things. They def try to get you good at the CH and VH, lol, the best parts

what about negotiating after the contract was signed? we gotta go back and do that soon, we're not getting a cake from our reception hall. they should throw somethings in for us because of that.

I wanted to do it before we signed, but my dad, & fh said one thing at a time. I bet we could have gotten a lot more out of them before signing.

Yes you can def add on after you have signed your contract, at least for my RH, but I believe all of them do that. I am going back next month to add the seafood and other stuff

We got a discount on the ceremony fee, a free welcome cart (pastries, coffee, champagne, etc. for guests arrival), free pasta station for cocktail hour and an espresso and cordial (in chocolate cups!!) bar !

Wow! You guys are very helpful thanks! I think its important to have an idea of what BM's are willing to negotiate or throw in and what there not...this way it give us brides-to-be an edge instead of the facility
