Is it too early to get my e-ring re-dipped? Should I wait until the beginning of July?
Also, can someone reccomend a place to go where I don't have to leave my ring? (and what the cost is)

I would wait until it's closer. Our jeweler told us to go back the week before he wedding to have it done. I don't know if it's the normal rate but he said it's about $40 to have it done.

I would wait until you are closer but you can go to Gennaros in Bellmore your ring never leaves your sight there and they will do a good job.

I did it the week of the wedding, so I'd wait until it's a little closer. I've had all the work done for my rings (e-ring/band sized, dipped, loose stone fixed, etc.) at Fast-Fix Jewelers in the Queens Center Mall. Originally we went to a jeweler to have them size it but they told me it would take at least a week because they send it out. We asked where they send it out to and they said Fast Fix Jewelry! The guy there is so nice- I'm not sure how much it is just to have it dipped though, I was always there doing multiple things- getting a watched fixed and the ring dipped or the loose stone and the ring dipped, etc. HTH!

Roosevelt Field Mall, I think it is called Quick Fix...the guys there are the greatest!! Dipped my ring, I think it was like $65, it took like 20 min, they did it in front of me.
I was concerned about it turning again before I got married in Sept, and they agreed to let me have it done again free of charge in Sept if need be.

i went 3 days b4 my wedding. it took them 15 min and it costs 20-30$

I dont think they dip platinum I could be wrong. I believe they just polish it.

I don't think they dip platinum either. The only reason they dip white gold is because there's really no such thing as white gold- it's yellow gold dipped in rhodium. Soo as the rhodium wears away, you start to see the yellow underneath... until you get it dipped again! HTH!

i was thinking of going there too! We didn't have time to get it done in the diamond district when we picked up rings last weekend. do u know how much they charge?

I took mine about a month before to have it resized because I lost a signicant amount of weight and it was very loose and they dipped it as well. I just didn't wear it until we exchanged vows. I wore my promise ring.

i got mine re-dipped at tri-county for $20. it took 15-20 minutes!

i got mine done about 3 weeks before the wedding. its not too early to go now. easier to get it out of the way ! mine got done almost 2 months ago now and its still shiny and sparkly !

yes they can dip platinum, thats what rhodium is. and they do it so it gets that extra high shine!!
we do it at my store. its $55 and then i can take 20% off for you, if you wanna come in. but i would wait closer to the wedding. i actually have someone coming in today to do hers forher wedding saturday. and then i wouldnt wear it intill the day of.
