How many of you have to ask FH to do (wedding related) things over and over again? I asked him to call the dj because we changed our date and he still hasn't sent us the updated contract (almost 2 weeks ago!). He keeps on 'forgetting!'

Re: Getting FH to do stuff
my fh is suppossed to call priest he wants to do our wedding in addition to my priest...we are having a semi bilingual mass...this is his thing as much as i want it too... he hasnt called he thinks the priest will just be able to treck to LI from CT without much notice... to be honest i can only remind him so much, i am not adding this to my list of things to do so if he doesnt call, then i guess no bilingual mass for us

YES...i asked fh to get some addresses three weeks ago and haven't seen them- he went with me this weekend to register but he was kind of bored...
I think he'll get more excited later on in the process (i hope)

Re: Getting FH to do stuff
My FH was supposed to call a DJ company for three weeks...so guess what...I went to the East Wind Showcase on Thursday and took things into my own hands!!! I booked long island sounds without him! He's such a procrastinator! If he procrastinates on anything else, i will just let him know that i am doing it without him! he really could care less, he just wants to know where to pay the check and when to show up at the church! So frustrating!

Anytime I ask FH to do stuff for the wedding I have to keep reminding him. Sometimes it feels like I am talking to a wall.
He keeps saying we have time. Hello...time goes fast.
I Love him but he's killing me.

FH doesn't forget to do anything... because I stopped asking! He is really great coming with me to appointments, even when he's tired or doesnt' feel well. However, he would never call anyone OR he would just book the first person he meets with (unless they completely rub him the wrong way). I just make the appoitnments and he makes himself available!

He comes along and asks some questions here and there. I end up doing all the research, all the phone calls, and all the appointment booking, but I don't mind too much. It just means that I have more say in the planning. :D He's definitely handling more on the home buying so I can't complain.

Does your FH make you feel guilty for wanting this big lavish event? Occasionally, when his car breaks down or something, he begins to make comments about how the money could be spent elsewhere!

FH wants to be involved but not to the point of Groomzilla-ness. He wants to hold the gun when we register and he wants to pick the band. As far as everything else goes, he knows that flowers are a 'girl thing.' And since my family is paying for most of the wedding, he will look at our final choices for locations and see which we BOTH like best.

Ditto...I am not leaving anything completely up to him.....all he has to do 'independently' is come up with ideas for the entrance songs and our First Dance song....
he's been really great at coming to the appts. though- asking questions of the vendors. I really can't complain.
