Just wondering Im getting married in June, and when is it the right time to get my first fitting.
I hear some girls talking about their first fitting and Im wondering if Im getting a little late doing it.
What does your first fitting consist of? I would like to lose a couple of pounds before they really bring in the waist

My place told me 6 weeks before the event you have your first fitting. It worked out great because I lost weight and they didnt have to fix the dress a million times

i'm getting married next month and i had my first fitting at the end of december...so you still have some time to lose some weight! good luck!

My first fitting is the middle of April.. Im getting married in June.. Im going next week just to try my dress on to make sure thr right one came in..

They told me to wait until about 2 months before!

Probably two months before hand would be a good time to go. You should have all of your undergarments, shoes, etc. This is the preliminary adjustments. You will probably go back another time for a few more very minor adjustments. And a third time to be sure.

My first fitting in the end of March beginning of April. I actually need to gain a few pounds so they don't have to take in the dress. About 2 months before.

I had my first fitting 5 weeks before the wedding. Granted it was a little close, but I live out of state so it was difficult to coordinate. I would recommend not doing it too far in advance though, because your weight may fluctuate shortly before the wedding. I would call your place and find out what they suggest....different places vary with how much time they need.

Thanks girls, for all your help. I was getting nervous for a second. I went and bought 2 pairs of pants last night and i went down a size.
I want to more is to tone not so much lose alot of weight. so hopefully I will get down to my goal.
