people being so negative about marriage... a lot of people who hear i am engaged they say why so young... why are you doing something like that you have your whole life.... why cant they just say congrats!.. its driving me crazy

LOL...someone said that to me today.... My mom and i went shopping...she wanted to look at some MOB dresses....so the woman looked at me and was like...'ur the bride? How old are you??' Umm in 22....and shes like 'thats too young to get married!!'

i hate when that is the first thing they say. or they get this like grossed out look - like how could i possibly be engaged if i am only 24 (meanwhile my grandpa wants to know why i am waiting so long to get married he says i should get married summer 05 - yeah i wish!)

last night a girl in my building said I was too young to get married- right after I told her I was 28- hello since when is 28 young!

I had a woman that was on the same lunch duty as I am and all she did the entire time was talk about how marriage is great and serves a prupose (having kids) and after that it is just living with someone and trying not to get in each others way

People also tell me that Im too young and I always say.. well Im 24 and my mom was married and had 2 kids by the time she was 20 and they have a healthy happy marraige!
