FH and I are getting married at the RH b/c he is jewish and I am Catholic. We however do not want to see eachother before. Is anyone else doing this? I feel like so many people are doing an unvieling and we def. do not want that.

Re: Getting married at RH
we originally were against seeing each other before the ceremony...
but we are also not getting married at a church...i find it so difficult to schedule photos between a RH ceremony and cocktail hour..
i dont want to miss my cocktail hour and i def dont want to rush photos
we are leaning towards doing a 'reveal'
the other option i thought of, was to host an additional half hour between ceremony and CH of signature drinks, water, champagne and fruit- and some type of entertainment- video montage? harpist? something like that to give us more time for photos

That's a good idea-the additional 1/2 hour. With the exception of using the RH space; it's really only the extra costs of the small selection of drinks and fruit-not like a full extra 1/2 hour of food.

Re: Getting married at RH
We are also getting married at the RH and not seeing each other before the ceremony. We are going to try to take all the seperate pics before to get them out of the way and then do our together pics after. We also extended our CH by a half hour so we and our bridal party will get to enjoy some of it.

Re: Getting married at RH
I am also getting married at the RH and my fiance is Jewish and I am Catholic. We are seeing eachother before the ceremony because we intend to sign a Interfaith Ketubah. I originally did not want to see FH but after speaking with the Rabbi I realized that it was not possible. Oh well more pictures together which is a plus!

Re: Getting married at RH
Im not going to see FH before the wedding. We're getting married at the RH. He'll sleep at our house and I'll stay with my fam.
If there's one superstition/tradition I believe in, it's not seeing your FH before the wedding.

most of the halls i went to, didn't charge much and a few weren't going to charge at all

Re: Getting married at RH
Are you guys planning to have a ketubah signing? If so, you'll usually see each other before the ceremony. We are seeing each other for ketubah and pictures.

I think we are going to do the whole reveal thing. I always thought I didnt want to see FH before but in teh interest of getting the pics we want and being able to be a part of the party, we are probabaly going to go that route

Re: Getting married at RH
We are seeing eachother so we can get all the photos done & out of the way. We want to enjoy our party & not be bothered. I was a MOH at my cousin's wedding. They did not see eachother & she was STRESSED OUT! Thank god her photographer was really on top of his game. He got all the photos done in no time. It could have been much worse.

Re: Getting married at RH
We're getting married at the church, however we were concerned bout missing the cocktail hour so we scheduled an extra half hour for the cocktail hour.
You can also take all the photos with your bridal party before the ceremony and he can do the same.
This way, the only pics left to do after the ceremony are the ones of you and your FH.
