GETTING MARRIED FEB.2004

Congratulations. It's never too early to start planning. But you don't have to do too much yet. Although some halls book up 2 years in advance. The first things to book usually are the hall and church/ceremony location to set your date. Then everything falls after that. I love helping plan. If you want some help feel free to email me at [email protected] --Stefani

GETTING MARRIED FEB.2004

Hi Chrissy: Congratulations. I am also getting married in 2004 (May 16, 2004). It's soo depressing that its sooo far away, but I'm hoping time will pass fast! As for planning,I have already booked the hall (Floral Terrace) and the Church (almost--long story). I would reccomend booking early because the prices go up every year. For example, we got the 2003 prices at Floral Terrace. Besides that I have done nothing else, except for the engagement party (my FH is Greek and they are accustomed to having big engagement parties-I'm Catholic). We only went to Leonards, Jericho Terrace, Swan Club and Floral Terrace, but if you need any help, my e-mail is [email protected]

Decide about your caterer and your band first..

Choosing your place and your music would have to be the most crucial to the overall success of the day. You can get shut-out of availability on these two items and then be very disappointed.

I am also 2004, I booked the place, have an appointment with the priest for the church, and am going to book the band by the end of the month. I am going to wait on everything else for about a year!

GETTING MARRIED FEB.2004

You can never start planning too early. I got engaged in April 2001 and we decided on a 2 year engagement (Wedding Date 7/4/03). I booked the church first and in the same week booked the hall. I waited about 3 months and started looking at photographers. Once a photographer was booked, I waited until after all the holidays and started looking at djs. I just booked my dj last week and I think I will hold off on planning anything else until the summer. One good thing about booking so far in advance is that you are pretty much guaranteed your date and time and you get today's prices instead of next year's or even the year after's. I highly recommend booking the hall and church as early as possible. Good luck with your planning and if you have any questions, please feel free to ask. Karen
