***? We are getting married Saturday, and have had four people drop out since yesterday, for various reasons. My aunt is pissing me off most of all because her bratty kids basically can't be bothered to attend now, so I am out $300 AND that puts us under our minimum :(
We paid for 131 guests, minimum is 130. The venue said they'd roll our vendors into guests spots, but are they going to reimburse if for the guest and two vendors ($210) we already paid for? Can we ask for that money to go towards tips? UGH.

it wouldnt hurt to ask! our rh owed us money back too and we used it towards tips... im sure theyd do the same for u too. and yes, people suuuck!

Ugh that's a pain. I asked my RH when the last chance was to change the number- it was the Tuesday before the Friday wedding. I'm not sure if it varies between RHs.
But at least they told you beforehand rather than not showing up on the day... hopefully you can get your $$ back!

We were not only 1 person under our minimum but 6 people were no shows!
It is what it is. We just went with it. It's your day and you've spent this much so far, whats $300?

This happened to us. We were in fact changing our seating chart and making new seating cards up until they night before the wedding! We had a 3 people get sick, another one, a cop, got an emergency shift... it was a mess. We ended up filling those seats with people who wanted to bring someone and were willing to attend at the last minute so it worked out, but it was a headache because we had to change some seats around!
